मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-1, verse-9

तदण्डमभवद्धैमं सहस्रांशुसमप्रभम ।
तस्मिञ्जज्ञे स्वयं ब्रह्मा सर्वलोकपितामहः ॥९॥
9. tadaṇḍamabhavaddhaimaṁ sahasrāṁśusamaprabham ,
tasmiñjajñe svayaṁ brahmā sarvalokapitāmahaḥ.
9. tat aṇḍam abhavat haimam sahasrāṃśu-sama-prabham
tasmin jajñe svayam brahmā sarva-loka-pitāmahaḥ
9. tat haimam sahasrāṃśu-sama-prabham aṇḍam abhavat
tasmin svayam sarva-loka-pitāmahaḥ brahmā jajñe
9. That egg became golden, radiant like a thousand suns. Within it, Brahmā himself, the grandfather of all worlds, was born.
