मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-1, verse-89

प्रजानां रक्षणं दानमिज्याऽध्ययनमेव च ।
विषयेष्वप्रसक्तिश्च क्षत्रियस्य समासतः ॥८९॥
89. prajānāṁ rakṣaṇaṁ dānamijyā'dhyayanameva ca ,
viṣayeṣvaprasaktiśca kṣatriyasya samāsataḥ.
