पुष्पिणः फलिनश्चैव वृक्षास्तूभयतः स्मृताः ॥४७॥

Those plants that are flowerless but bear fruit are traditionally called vanaspatis. Conversely, those that bear both flowers and fruits are known as vṛkṣas.
