महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-34, verse-79

बुद्धौ कलुषभूतायां विनाशे प्रत्युपस्थिते ।
अनयो नयसंकाशो हृदयान्नापसर्पति ॥७९॥

79. When the intellect (buddhi) has become corrupted and destruction is at hand, this impropriety, which deceptively appears to be sound policy, does not depart from the heart.
