महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-34, verse-56

वश्येन्द्रियं जितामात्यं धृतदण्डं विकारिषु ।
परीक्ष्यकारिणं धीरमत्यन्तं श्रीर्निषेवते ॥५६॥
56. vaśyendriyaṁ jitāmātyaṁ dhṛtadaṇḍaṁ vikāriṣu ,
parīkṣyakāriṇaṁ dhīramatyantaṁ śrīrniṣevate.
