महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-116, verse-63

ये वर्जयन्ति मांसानि मासशः पक्षशोऽपि वा ।
तेषां हिंसानिवृत्तानां ब्रह्मलोको विधीयते ॥६३॥
63. ye varjayanti māṁsāni māsaśaḥ pakṣaśo'pi vā ,
teṣāṁ hiṁsānivṛttānāṁ brahmaloko vidhīyate.
63. ye varjayanti māṃsāni māsaśaḥ pakṣaśaḥ api vā
teṣām hiṃsānivṛttānām brahmalokaḥ vidhīyate
63. For those who abstain from meats, either monthly or even fortnightly, the world of [brahman] (brahmaloka) is ordained, as they have ceased from violence.
