महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-116, verse-42

अप्रोक्षितं वृथामांसं विधिहीनं न भक्षयेत् ।
भक्षयन्निरयं याति नरो नास्त्यत्र संशयः ॥४२॥
42. aprokṣitaṁ vṛthāmāṁsaṁ vidhihīnaṁ na bhakṣayet ,
bhakṣayannirayaṁ yāti naro nāstyatra saṁśayaḥ.
42. aprokṣitam vṛthāmāṃsam vidhihīnam na bhakṣayet
bhakṣayan nirayam yāti naraḥ na asti atra saṃśayaḥ
42. aprokṣitam,

(yaḥ) naraḥ (etat) bhakṣayan nirayam yāti,
atra saṃśayaḥ na asti.
42. One should not eat meat that is unconsecrated (aprokṣitam), uselessly slaughtered (vṛthāmāṃsam), or lacking proper ritual procedure (vidhihīnam). A person who eats such meat certainly goes to hell; there is no doubt about this.
