इदमन्यत्तु वक्ष्यामि प्रमाणं विधिनिर्मितम् ।
पुराणमृषिभिर्जुष्टं वेदेषु परिनिश्चितम् ॥४८॥

48. Now, I will declare this other matter: an authoritative standard established by sacred law, which is an ancient tradition (purāṇa) honored by the sages and thoroughly affirmed in the Vedas.
