महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-68, verse-33

स्वयं प्राप्तेति मामेवं मावमंस्थाः पतिव्रताम् ।
अर्घ्यार्हां नार्चयसि मां स्वयं भार्यामुपस्थिताम् ॥३३॥
33. svayaṁ prāpteti māmevaṁ māvamaṁsthāḥ pativratām ,
arghyārhāṁ nārcayasi māṁ svayaṁ bhāryāmupasthitām.
33. svayam prāptā iti mām evam mā avamaṃsthāḥ pativratām
| arghyārhām na arcayasi mām svayam bhāryām upasthitām
33. Do not disrespect me, a devoted wife, thinking 'she has come by herself.' You do not honor me, your own wife who has personally approached you, even though I am worthy of hospitality.
