अवधूतो ह्यवज्ञातश्चेतसैव तिरस्कृतः ।
अहंकारपिशाचस्ते नेह किंचित्करिष्यति ॥ ५४ ॥

54. avadhūtaḥ hi avajñātaḥ cetasā eva tiraskṛtaḥ
ahaṅkāra piśācaḥ te na iha kiñcit kariṣyati

54. Indeed, when the demon of ego (ahaṅkāra) is shunned, disregarded, and scorned by the mind itself, then it will certainly not be able to do anything here.
