महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-18, verse-35

छिन्नमाज्ञाय निस्त्रिंशमवप्लुत्य पदानि षट् ।
प्राविध्यत ततः शेषं सुतसोमो महारथः ॥३५॥
35. chinnamājñāya nistriṁśamavaplutya padāni ṣaṭ ,
prāvidhyata tataḥ śeṣaṁ sutasomo mahārathaḥ.

35. Having realized that the sword (nistriṃśa) was severed, Sutasoma, the great warrior (mahāratha), then leaped back six steps and threw away the remaining portion.
