महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-18, verse-26

तस्य तीक्ष्णैर्महावेगैर्भल्लैः संनतपर्वभिः ।
व्यहनत्कार्मुकं राजा तूणीरं चैव सर्वशः ॥२६॥
26. tasya tīkṣṇairmahāvegairbhallaiḥ saṁnataparvabhiḥ ,
vyahanatkārmukaṁ rājā tūṇīraṁ caiva sarvaśaḥ.

26. The king completely shattered his (Sutasoma's) bow and also his quiver with sharp, exceedingly swift lances (bhallas) that had bent shafts.
