महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-31, verse-77

ततो बले भृशलुलिते परस्परं निरीक्षमाणे रुधिरौघसंप्लुते ।
दिवाकरेऽस्तंगिरिमास्थिते शनैरुभे प्रयाते शिबिराय भारत ॥७७॥
77. tato bale bhṛśalulite parasparaṁ; nirīkṣamāṇe rudhiraughasaṁplute ,
divākare'staṁgirimāsthite śanai;rubhe prayāte śibirāya bhārata.

77. Then, as the sun slowly set on the western mountain (astaṅgiri), and both armies, greatly agitated, drenched in torrents of blood, and gazing at each other, O Bhārata, gradually returned to their respective camps.
