महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-31, verse-15

अपरेऽप्यपराञ्जघ्नुर्वारणाः पतितान्नरान् ।
विषाणैश्चावनिं गत्वा व्यभिन्दन्रथिनो बहून् ॥१५॥
15. apare'pyaparāñjaghnurvāraṇāḥ patitānnarān ,
viṣāṇaiścāvaniṁ gatvā vyabhindanrathino bahūn.

viṣāṇaiḥ ca avanim gatvā vyabhindan rathinaḥ bahūn
15. apare vāraṇāḥ api patitān aparān narān jaghnuḥ ca

15. Other elephants also killed other men who had fallen. And having reached the ground with their tusks, they pierced many charioteers.
