महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-31, verse-75

तथा परैर्बहुकरणैर्वरायुधैर्हता गताः प्रतिभयदर्शनाः क्षितिम् ।
विपोथिता हयगजपादताडिता भृशाकुला रथखुरनेमिभिर्हताः ॥७५॥
75. tathā parairbahukaraṇairvarāyudhai;rhatā gatāḥ pratibhayadarśanāḥ kṣitim ,
vipothitā hayagajapādatāḍitā; bhṛśākulā rathakhuranemibhirhatāḥ.

75. Similarly, those of terrifying appearance, struck down by numerous diverse weapons wielded by others, fell to the ground. They were utterly crushed, trampled by the feet of horses and elephants, greatly agitated, and struck by chariot wheels and hooves.
