योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-80, verse-68

यत्र पर्यनुयोगस्य फलं समनुभूयते ।
तत्र तं संप्रयुञ्जीत नाकाशं मुष्टिभिः क्षिपेत् ॥ ६८ ॥
yatra paryanuyogasya phalaṃ samanubhūyate ,
tatra taṃ saṃprayuñjīta nākāśaṃ muṣṭibhiḥ kṣipet 68
68. yatra paryanuyogasya phalam samanubhūyate tatra
tam saṃprayuñjīta na ākāśam muṣṭibhiḥ kṣipet
68. yatra paryanuyogasya phalam samanubhūyate,
tatra tam saṃprayuñjīta.
ākāśam muṣṭibhiḥ na kṣipet.
68. Where the fruit of application is experienced, there one should apply it (the effort or direction). One should not strike the sky with fists, for it is futile.
