The idea that perfection (siddhi) is achieved merely by residing in Śrīśaila, a land of adepts (siddhadeśa), or Mount Meru and similar places—this too is an elaboration that has (perhaps already) served its purpose (kṛtārtha), yet it still detracts from the main topic.
