वाल्मीकि-रामायणम् vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-46, verse-15

इक्ष्वाकूणां त्वया तुल्यं सुहृदं नोपलक्षये ।
यथा दशरथो राजा मां न शोचेत्तथा कुरु ॥१५॥

15. ikṣvākūṇāṃ tvayā tulyaṃ suhṛdaṃ nopalakṣaye ,
yathā daśaratho rājā māṃ na śocettathā kuru.

15. Among the Ikṣvākus, I do not perceive any friend equal to you. Therefore, please act in such a way that King Daśaratha does not grieve for me.
