वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-46, verse-14

ततस्तु विगते बाष्पे सूतं स्पृष्टोदकं शुचिम् ।
रामस्तु मधुरं वाक्यं पुनः पुनरुवाच तम् ॥१४॥
14. tatastu vigate bāṣpe sūtaṃ spṛṣṭodakaṃ śucim ,
rāmastu madhuraṃ vākyaṃ punaḥ punaruvāca tam.
14. tataḥ tu vigate bāṣpe sūtam spṛṣṭodakam śucim
rāmaḥ tu madhuram vākyam punaḥ punaḥ uvāca tam
14. tataḥ tu bāṣpe vigate rāmaḥ tu spṛṣṭodakam śucim

14. Then, when his tears had subsided, Rāma addressed the charioteer, who had become ritually pure by touching water, with sweet words, speaking to him repeatedly.
