Indeed, land (bhūmiḥ) is the ultimate resort (parāyaṇam) for divine and human beings (devamānuṣakāyānām). Just as dogs (sārameyāḥ) snatch meat (āmiṣam), they seize from one another (anyonanyasyāvalumpanti).
