महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-81, verse-42

ऊढात्प्रभृति दुःखानि श्वशुराणामरिंदम ।
निकारानतदर्हा च पश्यन्ती दुःखमश्नुते ॥४२॥
42. ūḍhātprabhṛti duḥkhāni śvaśurāṇāmariṁdama ,
nikārānatadarhā ca paśyantī duḥkhamaśnute.
42. ūḍhāt prabhṛti duḥkhāni śvaśurāṇām ariṃdama
nikārān atadarhā ca paśyantī duḥkham aśnute
42. O subduer of enemies, from the time of her marriage, she has endured sufferings (duḥkha) and insults from her in-laws. Though undeserving of such treatment, she experiences pain (duḥkha) even while witnessing these things.
