महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-81, verse-40

अस्मत्कृते च सततं यया दुःखानि माधव ।
अनुभूतान्यदुःखार्हा तां स्म पृच्छेरनामयम् ॥४०॥
40. asmatkṛte ca satataṁ yayā duḥkhāni mādhava ,
anubhūtānyaduḥkhārhā tāṁ sma pṛccheranāmayam.
40. asmad-kṛte ca satatam yayā duḥkhāni mādhava
anubhūtāni aduḥkhārhā tām sma pṛccheḥ anāmayam
40. O Mādhava, please inquire about the well-being of her who constantly endured suffering (duḥkha) on our behalf, though she was undeserving of any misery.
