न शक्तो विवशां नारीमुपैतुमजितेन्द्रियः ॥५९॥

59. śapto hyeṣa purā pāpo vadhūṁ rambhāṁ parāmṛśan ,

For this wicked one was cursed long ago, when he violated his daughter-in-law, Rambhā. Being one who has not conquered his senses, he is now unable to approach a helpless woman.
