महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-264, verse-35

कृतचिह्नं तु सुग्रीवं रामो दृष्ट्वा महाधनुः ।
विचकर्ष धनुःश्रेष्ठं वालिमुद्दिश्य लक्ष्यवत् ॥३५॥
35. kṛtacihnaṁ tu sugrīvaṁ rāmo dṛṣṭvā mahādhanuḥ ,
vicakarṣa dhanuḥśreṣṭhaṁ vālimuddiśya lakṣyavat.
35. kṛtacinham tu sugrīvam rāmaḥ dṛṣṭvā mahādhanuḥ
vicakarṣa dhanuḥśreṣṭham vālim uddiśya lakṣyavat
35. But Rama, the great archer, seeing Sugriva, who was marked with a sign, drew his excellent bow, aiming at Vali as if at a target.
