महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-264, verse-55

अविन्ध्यो नाम मेधावी वृद्धो राक्षसपुंगवः ।
स रामस्य हितान्वेषी त्वदर्थे हि स मावदत् ॥५५॥
55. avindhyo nāma medhāvī vṛddho rākṣasapuṁgavaḥ ,
sa rāmasya hitānveṣī tvadarthe hi sa māvadat.

saḥ rāmasya hitānveṣī tvadarthe hi saḥ mā avadat
55. A wise and aged leader among the rākṣasas, by the name of Avindhya, who was a seeker of Rama's welfare, indeed spoke to me on your behalf.
