महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-264, verse-46

तास्तु तामायतापाङ्गीं पिशाच्यो दारुणस्वनाः ।
तर्जयन्ति सदा रौद्राः परुषव्यञ्जनाक्षराः ॥४६॥
46. tāstu tāmāyatāpāṅgīṁ piśācyo dāruṇasvanāḥ ,
tarjayanti sadā raudrāḥ paruṣavyañjanākṣarāḥ.
46. ताः तु ताम् आयतापाङ्गीम् पिशाच्यः दारुणस्वनाः
तर्जयन्ति सदा रौद्राः परुषव्यञ्जनाक्षराः
46. But those fierce female demons (piśācyaḥ), perpetually uttering harsh and dreadful sounds, constantly threatened her, who had long and lovely eyes, with their cruel words.
