महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-20, verse-73

देवतेयं गृहस्यास्य शापान्नूनं विरूपिता ।
अस्याश्च कारणं वेत्तुं न युक्तं सहसा मया ॥७३॥
73. devateyaṁ gṛhasyāsya śāpānnūnaṁ virūpitā ,
asyāśca kāraṇaṁ vettuṁ na yuktaṁ sahasā mayā.
73. devatā iyaṃ gṛhasya asya śāpāt nūnaṃ virūpitā
| asyāḥ ca kāraṇaṃ vettuṃ na yuktaṃ sahasā mayā
73. iyaṃ asya gṛhasya devatā nūnaṃ śāpāt virūpitā
ca asyāḥ kāraṇaṃ vettuṃ mayā sahasā na yuktaṃ
73. This deity of this house has certainly been disfigured by a curse. And it is not proper for me to hastily ascertain the cause of her condition.
