महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-20, verse-15

प्राविशद्भवनं स्वं वै गृहीत्वा तं द्विजोत्तमम् ।
आसनं स्वं ददौ चैव पाद्यमर्घ्यं तथैव च ॥१५॥
15. prāviśadbhavanaṁ svaṁ vai gṛhītvā taṁ dvijottamam ,
āsanaṁ svaṁ dadau caiva pādyamarghyaṁ tathaiva ca.
15. prāviśat bhavanam svam vai gṛhītvā tam dvijottamam
āsanam svam dadau ca eva pādyam arghyam tathā eva ca
15. vai tam dvijottamam gṛhītvā svam bhavanam prāviśat
ca eva svam āsanam pādyam arghyam ca tathaiva dadau
15. Indeed, having respectfully received that best of brahmins (dvijottama), he entered his own palace. He then offered his own seat, water for the feet (pādya), and water for respectful offering (arghya).
