महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-275, verse-35

दशरथ उवाच ।
प्रीतोऽस्मि वत्स भद्रं ते पिता दशरथोऽस्मि ते ।
अनुजानामि राज्यं च प्रशाधि पुरुषोत्तम ॥३५॥
35. daśaratha uvāca ,
prīto'smi vatsa bhadraṁ te pitā daśaratho'smi te ,
anujānāmi rājyaṁ ca praśādhi puruṣottama.
35. daśaratha uvāca prītaḥ asmi vatsa bhadram te pitā
daśarathaḥ asmi te anujānāmi rājyam ca praśādhi puruṣottama
35. Dasharatha said: 'I am pleased, my son. May good fortune be upon you. I am Dasharatha, your father. I grant you permission for the kingdom, so rule it, O best among men (puruṣottama)!'
