महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-275, verse-31

अवध्यः सर्वभूतानां मत्प्रसादात्पुराभवत् ।
कस्माच्चित्कारणात्पापः कंचित्कालमुपेक्षितः ॥३१॥
31. avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ matprasādātpurābhavat ,
kasmāccitkāraṇātpāpaḥ kaṁcitkālamupekṣitaḥ.
31. avadhyaḥ sarvabhūtānām matprasādāt purā abhavat
kasmāt cit kāraṇāt pāpaḥ kañcit kālam upekṣitaḥ
31. By my grace, he was formerly invincible to all beings. For a certain period, that wicked one was tolerated for some particular reason.
