दुर्गा-सप्तशती       durgā-saptaśatī - chapter-1, verse-12

न जाने स प्रधानो मे शूरहस्ती सदामदः ।
मम वैरिवशं यातः कान् भोगानुपलप्स्यते ॥१२॥
12. na jāne sa pradhāno me śūrahastī sadāmadaḥ .
mama vairivaśaṃ yātaḥ kān bhogānupalapsyate.
12. na jāne saḥ pradhānaḥ me śūrahastī sadāmadaḥ
mama vairivaśam yātaḥ kān bhogān upalapsyate
12. I do not know what pleasures my chief, brave elephant, who is always in rut, will obtain now that he has fallen into the power of my enemies.
