महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-12, verse-68

तथेति चोक्त्वाच्युतमप्रमादी द्रौणिं प्रयत्नादिषुभिस्ततक्ष ।
छित्त्वाश्वरश्मींस्तुरगानविध्यत्ते तं रणादूहुरतीव दूरम् ॥६८॥
68. tatheti coktvācyutamapramādī; drauṇiṁ prayatnādiṣubhistatakṣa ,
chittvāśvaraśmīṁsturagānavidhya;tte taṁ raṇādūhuratīva dūram.
68. tathā iti ca uktvā acyutam apramādī
drauṇim prayatnāt iṣubhiḥ tatakṣa
chittvā aśvaraśmīn turagān
avidhyat te tam raṇāt ūhuḥ atīva dūram

68. And having said 'So be it' to Acyuta (Krishna), the vigilant (Arjuna) diligently pierced Droṇa's son (Drauṇi) with arrows. Having cut his horses' reins, he pierced the horses. They (the horses) then carried him far away from the battle.
