महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-12, verse-35

अश्वत्थाम्नः शरानस्तांश्छित्त्वैकैकं त्रिधा त्रिधा ।
व्यधमद्भरतश्रेष्ठो नीहारमिव मारुतः ॥३५॥
35. aśvatthāmnaḥ śarānastāṁśchittvaikaikaṁ tridhā tridhā ,
vyadhamadbharataśreṣṭho nīhāramiva mārutaḥ.

35. The best of the Bhāratas (Bharataśreṣṭha) cut each of Aśvatthāman's shot arrows into three pieces, just as the wind (māruta) scatters mist.
