सुकल्पिताः स्यन्दनवाजिनागाः समास्थिताः कृतयत्नैर्नृवीरैः ।
पार्थेरितैर्बाणगणैर्निरस्तास्तैरेव सार्धं नृवरैर्निपेतुः ॥५७॥

57. The well-equipped chariots, horses, and elephants, mounted by valiant heroes who had made strenuous efforts, were struck down by the multitude of arrows shot by Pārtha (Arjuna), and fell along with those very best of men.
