ततः समभवद्युद्धं शुक्राङ्गिरसवर्चसोः ।
नक्षत्रमभितो व्योम्नि शुक्राङ्गिरसयोरिव ॥४८॥

48. tataḥ शुक्राङ्गिरसवर्चसोः युद्धम् समभवत्,
व्योम्नि नक्षत्रम् अभितः शुक्राङ्गिरसयोः इव

48. Then, a battle commenced between those two (Arjuna and Ashvatthama), who shone with the brilliance of Shukra and Angiras, resembling the celestial clash of Shukra and Angiras themselves around a star in the sky.
