महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-48, verse-69

शितधारैस्तथा खड्गैर्विमलैश्च परश्वधैः ।
शरैरन्यैश्च बहुभिः शस्त्रैर्नानाविधैर्युधि ।
उभयोः सेनयोर्वीरा न्यकृन्तन्त परस्परम् ॥६९॥
69. śitadhāraistathā khaḍgairvimalaiśca paraśvadhaiḥ ,
śarairanyaiśca bahubhiḥ śastrairnānāvidhairyudhi ,
ubhayoḥ senayorvīrā nyakṛntanta parasparam.

69. In battle, the heroes of both armies slaughtered each other with sharp-edged swords, shining battle-axes, arrows, and many other weapons of various kinds.
