महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-48, verse-52

यतमानौ तु तौ वीरावन्योन्यस्य वधं प्रति ।
नाशक्नुतां तदान्योन्यमभिसंधातुमाहवे ॥५२॥
52. yatamānau tu tau vīrāvanyonyasya vadhaṁ prati ,
nāśaknutāṁ tadānyonyamabhisaṁdhātumāhave.
52. yatamanau tu tau vīrau anyonyasya vadhaṃ prati
na aśaknutām tadā anyonyam abhisaṃdhātuṃ āhave
52. tu tau vīrau anyonyasya vadhaṃ prati yatamanau
tadā āhave anyonyam abhisaṃdhātuṃ na aśaknutām
52. But those two heroes, each striving for the other's destruction, were then unable to overpower each other in battle.
