महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-48, verse-55

उभौ सिंहरवोन्मिश्रं शङ्खशब्दं प्रचक्रतुः ।
तथैव चापनिर्घोषं चक्रतुस्तौ महारथौ ॥५५॥
55. ubhau siṁharavonmiśraṁ śaṅkhaśabdaṁ pracakratuḥ ,
tathaiva cāpanirghoṣaṁ cakratustau mahārathau.

55. Both sounded their conches, their calls mingled with lion-like roars. Similarly, those two great warriors (maharathau) produced the resonant twang of their bows.
