महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-16, chapter-8, verse-22

अनुजग्मुश्च तं वीरं देव्यस्ता वै स्वलंकृताः ।
स्त्रीसहस्रैः परिवृता वधूभिश्च सहस्रशः ॥२२॥
22. anujagmuśca taṁ vīraṁ devyastā vai svalaṁkṛtāḥ ,
strīsahasraiḥ parivṛtā vadhūbhiśca sahasraśaḥ.
22. anujagmuḥ ca taṃ vīraṃ devyaḥ tāḥ vai sualaṃkṛtāḥ
strīsahasraiḥ parivṛtāḥ vadhūbhiḥ ca sahasraśaḥ
22. ca tāḥ vai sualaṃkṛtāḥ devyaḥ strīsahasraiḥ ca
sahasraśaḥ vadhūbhiḥ parivṛtāḥ taṃ vīraṃ anujagmuḥ
22. And those well-adorned royal ladies (devī), surrounded by thousands of women and thousands of brides (vadhū), indeed followed that hero.
