ततो लोभः समभवद्दस्यूनां निहतेश्वराः ।
दृष्ट्वा स्त्रियो नीयमानाः पार्थेनैकेन भारत ॥४४॥

44. tato lobhaḥ samabhavaddasyūnāṁ nihateśvarāḥ ,
dṛṣṭvā striyo nīyamānāḥ pārthenaikena bhārata.

dṛṣṭvā striyaḥ nīyamānāḥ pārthena ekena bhārata

44. bhārata tataḥ dasyūnām lobhaḥ samabhavat,
(te) pārthena ekena nihateśvarāḥ striyaḥ nīyamānāḥ dṛṣṭvā (iti)

44. Then, O Bhārata, the robbers, observing the women whose lords had been slain being led away by Arjuna (Pārtha) alone, became filled with greed.
