महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-123, verse-35

न हि किंचिददेयं मे गुरवे ब्रह्मवित्तम ।
तमब्रवीत्त्वयाङ्गुष्ठो दक्षिणो दीयतां मम ॥३५॥
35. na hi kiṁcidadeyaṁ me gurave brahmavittama ,
tamabravīttvayāṅguṣṭho dakṣiṇo dīyatāṁ mama.
35. na hi kiṃcit adeyam me gurave brahmavittama tam
abravīt tvayā aṅguṣṭhaḥ dakṣiṇaḥ dīyatām mama
35. Ekalavya said, 'Indeed, nothing can be withheld by me from my teacher (guru), O best among the knowers of ultimate reality (brahman).' To him, Drona replied, 'Let your right thumb be given to me.'
