Brother cuckoo, enough, enough of your calls! Your invaluable quality (guṇa) does not manifest now. Be silent in some hollow, covered by a mass of fallen leaves. This time, my friend, is winter (śiśira), filled with flocks of harshly cawing crows in the caves of magnificent trees; this is not the festival of spring (vasanta).
