बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-81, verse-14

मध्यमाऽनामिका चापि यस्या भूमिं न संस्पृशेत् ।
पतिहीना च सा नारी विज्ञेया द्विजसत्तम ॥१४॥
14. madhyamā'nāmikā cāpi yasyā bhūmiṃ na saṃspṛśet .

14. O best among the twice-born (dvijasattama), a woman whose middle and ring fingers do not touch the ground should be understood as one who will be without a husband.
