मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-69, verse-7

तस्यामतीव तस्यासीद्द्विजवर्य मनः सदा ।
स्नेहवच्छशिनो यद्वद्रोहिण्यां निहितास्पदम् ॥७॥
7. tasyāmatīva tasyāsīddvijavarya manaḥ sadā .
snehavacchaśino yadvadrohiṇyāṃ nihitāspadam.
7. tasyām atīva tasya āsīt dvijavarya manaḥ sadā
snehavat śaśinaḥ yadvat rohiṇyām nihitāspadam
7. O best of the twice-born (dvijavarya), his mind (manas) was always intensely fixed on her, just as the moon's (śaśin) affection is constantly centered on Rohiṇī.
