मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-69, verse-43

धर्महानिश्चानुदिनमभार्यस्य भवेन्मम ।
नित्यक्रियाणां विभ्रंशात्स चापि पतनाय मे ॥४३॥
43. dharmahāniścānudinamabhāryasya bhavenmama .
nityakriyāṇāṃ vibhraṃśātsa cāpi patanāya me.
43. dharma-hāniḥ ca anu-dinam abhāryasya bhavet mama
nitya-kriyāṇām vibhraṃśāt saḥ ca api patanāya me
43. And for me, being wifeless, there would be a daily loss of natural law (dharma). Moreover, from the non-performance of my daily duties, that would also lead to my downfall.
