मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-69, verse-26

राजोवाच ।
न वेत्सि केनापहृता क्व वा नीता तु सा द्विज ।
यतामि विग्रहे कस्य कुतो वाप्यानयामि ताम् ॥२६॥
26. rājovāca .
na vetsi kenāpahṛtā kva vā nītā tu sā dvija .
yatāmi vigrahe kasya kuto vāpyānayāmi tām.
26. rāja uvāca na vetsi kena apahṛtā kva vā nītā tu sā
dvija yatāmi vigrahe kasya kutaḥ vā api ānayāmi tām
26. The King said, 'O brahmin (dvija), you do not know by whom she was abducted or where she was taken? With whom should I engage in conflict, or from where can I bring her back?'
