मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-69, verse-3

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
उत्तानपादपुत्रोऽभूदुत्तमो नाम नामतः ।
सुरुच्यास्तनयः ख्यातो महाबलपराक्रमः ॥३॥
3. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
uttānapādaputro'bhūduttamo nāma nāmataḥ .
surucyāstanayaḥ khyāto mahābalaparākramaḥ.
3. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca uttānapāda-putraḥ abhūt uttamaḥ nāma
nāmataḥ surucyāḥ tanayaḥ khyātaḥ mahābala-parākramaḥ
3. Mārkaṇḍeya said: There was a son of Uttānapāda named Uttama. He was born to Suruci and was renowned for his great strength and valor.
