मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-69, verse-55

ऋषिरुवाच ।
पृच्छ मामवनीपाल यत्प्रष्टव्यमशङिकितः ।
वक्तव्यं चेत्तव मया कथयिष्यामि तत्त्वतः ॥५५॥
55. ṛṣiruvāca .
pṛccha māmavanīpāla yatpraṣṭavyamaśaṅikitaḥ .
vaktavyaṃ cettava mayā kathayiṣyāmi tattvataḥ.
55. ṛṣiḥ uvāca pṛccha mām avanīpāla yat praṣṭavyam
aśaṅkitaḥ vaktavyam cet tava mayā kathayiṣyāmi tattvataḥ
55. The sage said: 'O protector of the earth, ask me, without hesitation, whatever you wish to inquire about. If it is something I should tell you, I will relate it truthfully.'
