मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
विलक्ष्यः स महीपाल इत्युक्तस्तेन धीमता ।
तथेत्युक्त्वा च पप्रच्छ हृतां पत्नीं द्विजन्मनः ॥६७॥

67. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
vilakṣyaḥ sa mahīpāla ityuktastena dhīmatā .
tathetyuktvā ca papraccha hṛtāṃ patnīṃ dvijanmanaḥ.
vilakṣyaḥ sa mahīpāla ityuktastena dhīmatā .
tathetyuktvā ca papraccha hṛtāṃ patnīṃ dvijanmanaḥ.

mārkaṇḍeya uvāca vilakṣyaḥ saḥ mahīpālaḥ iti uktaḥ tena
dhīmatā tathā iti uktvā ca papraccha hṛtām patnīm dvijanmanaḥ

67.
Mārkaṇḍeya said: 'That king is indeed blameworthy,' having been thus addressed by the wise one. And having replied, 'So be it,' he then inquired about the Brahmin's (dvijanman) abducted wife.
