मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-69, verse-41

त्यक्त्वा तां च क्रियां कुर्वन्नैव कर्मफलं लभेत् ।
अग्निना सह या नूनं सा जगाम गृहं शुभा ॥४१॥
41. tyaktvā tāṃ ca kriyāṃ kurvannaiva karmaphalaṃ labhet .
agninā saha yā nūnaṃ sā jagāma gṛhaṃ śubhā.
41. tyaktvā tām ca kriyām kurvan na eva karmaphalam
labhet agninā saha yā nūnam sā jagāma gṛham śubhā
41. Abandoning her and performing (sacred) actions, one would certainly not obtain the results of one's deeds (karma). Indeed, she who went home with the fire (during the marriage ceremony) is auspicious.
